Rabbit anti-RPL26 Antibody Affinity Purified
Product Details
Specifications
The epitope recognized by A300-686A maps to a region between residue 100 and the C-terminus (residue 145) of human Ribosomal Protein L26 using the numbering given in entry NP_000978.1 (GeneID 6154).
Immunoglobulin concentration was determined using Beer’s Law where 1mg/mL IgG has an A280 of 1.4. Antibody was affinity purified using an epitope specific to RPL26 immobilized on solid support.
The epitope recognized by A300-686A-T maps to a region between residue 100 and the C-terminus (residue 145) of human Ribosomal Protein L26 using the numbering given in entry NP_000978.1 (GeneID 6154).
Additional Product Information
RPL26 is a component of the 60S ribosomal subunit. Ribosomes are composed of a small 40S subunit and a large 60S subunit that function to catalyze protein synthesis. RPL26 is a cytoplasmic protein that functions at the translational level to induce protein expression. RPL26 has been demonstrated to bind the 5’ UTR of p53 mRNA in response to DNA damage. This interaction is described as one of many mechanisms that serve to increase p53 protein levels after DNA damage.
Alternate Names
60S ribosomal protein L26; DBA11; L26; large ribosomal subunit protein uL24
Applications
All western blot analysis is performed using 5% Milk-TBST for blocking and as antibody diluent. Primary antibody is incubated overnight.
Western blots of cell lysates are performed using Goat anti-Rabbit IgG Heavy and Light Chain Antibody (Cat. No. A120-101P).
Western blots of immunoprecipitates are performed using Goat anti-Rabbit Light Chain HRP Conjugate (Cat. No. A120-113P) with 5% Normal Pig Serum (Cat. No. S100-020) added to the blocking buffer.
