Additional Product Information
Ribosomes, the organelles that catalyze protein synthesis, consist of a small 40S subunit and a large 60S subunit. Together these subunits are composed of 4 RNA species and approximately 80 structurally distinct proteins. RPL29 is a cytoplasmic ribosomal protein that is a component of the 60S subunit. The protein belongs to the L29E family of ribosomal proteins. The protein is also a peripheral membrane protein expressed on the cell surface that directly binds heparin [taken from NCBI Entrez Gene (Gene ID: 6159)].
Alternate Names
60S ribosomal protein L29; cell surface heparin-binding protein HIP; heparin/heparan sulfate-binding protein; heparin/heparan sulfate-interacting protein; HIP; HP/HS-interacting protein; HUMRPL29; L29; large ribosomal subunit protein eL29; ribosomal protein YL43 homologue; RPL29_3_370; RPL29P10
Applications
All western blot analysis is performed using 5% Milk-TBST for blocking and as antibody diluent. Primary antibody is incubated overnight.
Western blots of cell lysates are performed using Goat anti-Rabbit IgG Heavy and Light Chain Antibody (Cat. No. A120-101P).
Western blots of immunoprecipitates are performed using Goat anti-Rabbit Light Chain HRP Conjugate (Cat. No. A120-113P) with 5% Normal Pig Serum (Cat. No. S100-020) added to the blocking buffer.
