Rabbit anti-RPS6 Antibody Affinity Purified
Product Details
Specifications
The epitope recognized by A300-557A maps to a region between residue 200 and the C-terminus (residue 249) of human Ribosomal Protein S6 using the numbering given in entry NP_001001.2 (GeneID 6194).
Immunoglobulin concentration was determined using Beer’s Law where 1mg/mL IgG has an A280 of 1.4. Antibody was affinity purified using an epitope specific to RPS6 immobilized on solid support.
The epitope recognized by A300-557A-T maps to a region between residue 200 and the C-terminus (residue 249) of human Ribosomal Protein S6 using the numbering given in entry NP_001001.2 (GeneID 6194).
Additional Product Information
Ribosomal protein S6 (RPS6) is a component of the 40S ribosomal subunit. Ribosomes are composed of a small 40S subunit and a large 60S subunit that function to catalyze protein synthesis. RPS6 is phosphorylated by many cellular kinases including ribosomal protein S6 kinase that is regulated via the mammalian target of rapamycin (mTOR) pathway. RPS6 has been demonstrated to be important in regulating cell size, glucose homeostasis, and translational control of mRNA.
Alternate Names
40S ribosomal protein S6; phosphoprotein NP33; S6; small ribosomal subunit protein eS6
Applications
All western blot analysis is performed using 5% Milk-TBST for blocking and as antibody diluent. Primary antibody is incubated overnight.
Western blots of cell lysates are performed using Goat anti-Rabbit IgG Heavy and Light Chain Antibody (Cat. No. A120-101P).
Western blots of immunoprecipitates are performed using Goat anti-Rabbit Light Chain HRP Conjugate (Cat. No. A120-113P) with 5% Normal Pig Serum (Cat. No. S100-020) added to the blocking buffer.
