Rabbit anti-Rtf1 Antibody Affinity Purified
Product Details
Specifications
The epitope recognized by A300-179A maps to a region between residue 620 and 670 of human Restores TBP (TATA box-binding protein) function-1 using the numbering given in entry EAW92492.1 (GeneID 23168).
Immunoglobulin concentration was determined using Beer’s Law where 1mg/mL IgG has an A280 of 1.4. Antibody was affinity purified using an epitope specific to Rtf1 immobilized on solid support.
The epitope recognized by A300-179A-T maps to a region between residue 620 and 670 of human Restores TBP (TATA box-binding protein) function-1 using the numbering given in entry EAW92492.1 (GeneID 23168).
Immunoglobulin concentration was determined using Beer’s Law where 1mg/mL IgG has an A280 of 1.4.
Additional Product Information
In yeast, Rtf1 is a component of the Paf1/RNA polymerase II complex. The Paf1 complex interacts with RNA polymerase II and functions to modify chromatin during transcription. Rtf1 appears to be important for histone H2B ubiquitination by Rad6 and for methylation of histone H3 catalyzed by the Set1/COMPASS complex that functions during transcription elongation.
Alternate Names
GTL7; KIAA0252; ortholog of mouse gene trap locus 7; RNA polymerase-associated protein RTF1 homolog; Rtf1, Paf1/RNA polymerase II complex component, homolog
Applications
All western blot analysis is performed using 5% Milk-TBST for blocking and as antibody diluent. Primary antibody is incubated overnight.
Western blots of cell lysates are performed using Goat anti-Rabbit IgG Heavy and Light Chain Antibody (Cat. No. A120-101P).
Western blots of immunoprecipitates are performed using Goat anti-Rabbit Light Chain HRP Conjugate (Cat. No. A120-113P) with 5% Normal Pig Serum (Cat. No. S100-020) added to the blocking buffer.
