Rabbit anti-SA2 Antibody Affinity Purified
Product Details
Specifications
The epitope recognized by A302-580A maps to a region between residue 1 and 50 of human stromal antigen 2 using the numbering given in entry NP_006594.3 (GeneID 10735).
Immunoglobulin concentration was determined using Beer’s Law where 1mg/mL IgG has an A280 of 1.4. Antibody was affinity purified using an epitope specific to SA2 immobilized on solid support.
The epitope recognized by A302-580A-T maps to a region between residue 1 and 50 of human stromal antigen 2 using the numbering given in entry NP_006594.3 (GeneID 10735).
Additional Product Information
SA2 is a component of the multisubunit cohesin complex. Cohesin functions to hold sister chromatids together during meiosis and mitosis and ensure proper segregation of chromosomes. Cohesin must dissociate from sister chromatids during prophase and metaphase so that they can segregate to opposite poles of the cell during anaphase. As part of the cohesin complex, SA2 appears to play a role in cohesin dissociation required for sister chromatid separation. Interestingly, SA2 has been demonstrated to also exhibit transcriptional regulatory activity through an association with NF-kappaB.

Applications
All western blot analysis is performed using 5% Milk-TBST for blocking and as antibody diluent. Primary antibody is incubated overnight.
Western blots of cell lysates are performed using Goat anti-Rabbit IgG Heavy and Light Chain Antibody (Cat. No. A120-101P).
Western blots of immunoprecipitates are performed using Goat anti-Rabbit Light Chain HRP Conjugate (Cat. No. A120-113P) with 5% Normal Pig Serum (Cat. No. S100-020) added to the blocking buffer.
