Rabbit anti-SAFB2 Antibody Affinity Purified
Product Details
Specifications
The epitope recognized by A301-112A maps to a region between residue 175 and 225 of human scaffold attachment factor B2 using the numbering given in entry NP_055464.1 (GeneID 9667).
Immunoglobulin concentration was determined using Beer’s Law where 1mg/mL IgG has an A280 of 1.4. Antibody was affinity purified using an epitope specific to SAFB2 immobilized on solid support.
The epitope recognized by A301-112A-T maps to a region between residue 175 and 225 of human scaffold attachment factor B2 using the numbering given in entry NP_055464.1 (GeneID 9667).
Additional Product Information
Scaffold attachment factor B2 (SAFB2) is a chromatin associated protein that interacts with DNA elements termed S/MARs (scaffold or matrix attachment regions) but is not part of the nuclear matrix. SAFB2 is structurally and functionally similar to SAFB1 and appears to be a multifunctional protein involved in chromatin organization, mRNA processing and transcriptional regulation. SAFB2 has been demonstrated to interact with and function as a corepressor with many nuclear receptors such as estrogen receptor-alpha, PPAR-gamma, and FXR-alpha.
Alternate Names
SAF-B2; scaffold attachment factor B2
Applications
All western blot analysis is performed using 5% Milk-TBST for blocking and as antibody diluent. Primary antibody is incubated overnight.
Western blots of cell lysates are performed using Goat anti-Rabbit IgG Heavy and Light Chain Antibody (Cat. No. A120-101P).
Western blots of immunoprecipitates are performed using Goat anti-Rabbit Light Chain HRP Conjugate (Cat. No. A120-113P) with 5% Normal Pig Serum (Cat. No. S100-020) added to the blocking buffer.
