Rabbit anti-Spt16 Antibody Affinity Purified
Product Details
Specifications
The epitope recognized by A302-492A maps to a region between residue 997 and 1047 of human suppressor of Ty 16 using the numbering given in entry NP_009123.1 (GeneID 11198).
Immunoglobulin concentration was determined using Beer’s Law where 1mg/mL IgG has an A280 of 1.4. Antibody was affinity purified using an epitope specific to Spt16 immobilized on solid support.
The epitope recognized by A302-492A-T maps to a region between residue 997 and 1047 of human suppressor of Ty 16 using the numbering given in entry NP_009123.1 (GeneID 11198).
Additional Product Information
Spt16 is a Component of the FACT complex, a general chromatin factor that acts to reorganize nucleosomes. The FACT complex is composed of two subunits: SSRP1 and Spt16. It is involved in multiple processes that require DNA as a template such as mRNA elongation, DNA replication and DNA repair. During transcription elongation the FACT complex acts as a histone chaperone that both destabilizes and restores nucleosomal structure. It facilitates the passage of RNA polymerase II and transcription by promoting the dissociation of one histone H2A-H2B dimer from the nucleosome, and then subsequently promotes the reestablishment of the nucleosome following the passage of RNA polymerase II [taken from the Universal Protein Resource (UniProt) www.uniprot.org/uniprot/Q9Y5B9].
