Rabbit anti-SS-B Antibody Affinity Purified
Product Details
Specifications
The epitope recognized by A303-901A-T maps to a region between residue 50 and 100 of human Sjogren Syndrome Antigen B (autoantigen La) using the numbering given in entry NP_003133.1 (GeneID 6741).
Immunoglobulin concentration was determined using Beer’s Law where 1mg/mL IgG has an A280 of 1.4. Antibody was affinity purified using an epitope specific to SS-B immobilized on solid support.

Additional Product Information
Sjogren syndrome antigen B (autoantigen La) (SS-B) is involved in diverse aspects of RNA metabolism, including binding and protecting poly(U) termini of nascent RNA polymerase III transcripts from exonuclease digestion, processing 5' and 3' ends of pre-tRNA precursors, acting as an RNA chaperone, and binding viral RNAs associated with hepatitis C virus. Autoantibodies reacting with this protein are found in the sera of patients with Sjogren syndrome and systemic lupus erythematosus [taken from NCBI Entrez Gene (Gene ID: 6741)].
Alternate Names
autoantigen La; La; la autoantigen; La ribonucleoprotein; La ribonucleoprotein domain family, member 3; La/SSB; LARP3; lupus La antigen; lupus La protein; sjoegren syndrome type B antigen; SS-B; SS-B/La protein
Applications
All western blot analysis is performed using 5% Milk-TBST for blocking and as antibody diluent. Primary antibody is incubated overnight.
Western blots of immunoprecipitates are performed using Goat anti-Rabbit Light Chain HRP Conjugate (Cat. No. A120-113P) with 5% Normal Pig Serum (Cat. No. S100-020) added to the blocking buffer.
