Additional Product Information
TRAP proteins are part of a complex whose function is to bind calcium to the ER membrane and thereby regulate the retention of ER resident proteins. SSR1/TRAP may be involved in the recycling of the translocation apparatus after completion of the translocation process or may function as a membrane-bound chaperone facilitating folding of translocated protein [taken from the Universal Protein Resource (UniProt) www.uniprot.org/uniprot/P43307].
Alternate Names
signal sequence receptor subunit alpha; signal sequence receptor, alpha; SSR alpha subunit; SSR-alpha; translocon-associated protein alpha subunit; translocon-associated protein subunit alpha; TRAP alpha; TRAPA; TRAP-alpha
Applications
All western blot analysis is performed using 5% Milk-TBST for blocking and as antibody diluent. Primary antibody is incubated overnight.
Western blots of cell lysates are performed using Goat anti-Rabbit IgG Heavy and Light Chain Antibody (Cat. No. A120-101P).
