Rabbit anti-STX17 Antibody Affinity Purified
Product Details
Specifications
The epitope recognized by A305-750A maps to a region between residue 150 to 200 of human Syntaxin-17 using the numbering given in entry P56962.2 (GeneID 55014).
Immunoglobulin concentration was determined using Beer’s Law where 1mg/mL IgG has an A280 of 1.4. Antibody was affinity purified using an epitope specific to STX17 immobilized on solid support.
The epitope recognized by A305-750A-T maps to a region between residue 150 to 200 of human Syntaxin-17 using the numbering given in entry P56962.2 (GeneID 55014).
Immunoglobulin concentration was determined using Beer’s Law where 1mg/mL IgG has an A280 of 1.4.
Additional Product Information
SNAREs, soluble N-ethylmaleimide-sensitive factor-attachment protein receptors, are essential proteins for fusion of cellular membranes. SNAREs localized on opposing membranes assemble to form a trans-SNARE complex, an extended, parallel four alpha-helical bundle that drives membrane fusion. STX17 is a SNARE of the autophagosome involved in autophagy through the direct control of autophagosome membrane fusion with the lysosome membrane (PubMed:23217709, PubMed:25686604). May also play a role in the early secretory pathway where it may maintain the architecture of the endoplasmic reticulum-Golgi intermediate compartment/ERGIC and Golgi and/or regulate transport between the endoplasmic reticulum, the ERGIC and the Golgi (PubMed:21545355) [taken from the Universal Protein Resource (UniProt) www.uniprot.org/uniprot/P56962].
Alternate Names
syntaxin-17
Applications
All western blot analysis is performed using 5% Milk-TBST for blocking and as antibody diluent. Primary antibody is incubated overnight.
Western blots of cell lysates are performed using Goat anti-Rabbit IgG Heavy and Light Chain Antibody (Cat. No. A120-101P).
