Additional Product Information
Suppressor of fused (SuFu) is a negative regulator of the hedgehog and beta-catenin signaling pathway. It down-regulates GLI1-mediated transactivation of target genes and is part of a corepressor complex that acts on DNA-bound GLI1. SuFu may also act by linking GLI1 to BTRC and thereby targeting GLI1 to degradation by the proteasome. Additionally, SuFu sequesters GLI1, GLI2 and GLI3 in the cytoplasm, this effect is overcome by binding of STK36 to both SUFU and a GLI protein [taken from the Universal Protein Resource (UniProt) www.uniprot.org/uniprot/Q9UMX1].
Alternate Names
JBTS32; PRO1280; SUFUH; SUFUXL; suppressor of fused homolog
Applications
All western blot analysis is performed using 5% Milk-TBST for blocking and as antibody diluent. Primary antibody is incubated overnight.
Western blots of immunoprecipitates are performed using Goat anti-Rabbit Light Chain HRP Conjugate (Cat. No. A120-113P) with 5% Normal Pig Serum (Cat. No. S100-020) added to the blocking buffer.
