Rabbit anti-SUPT5H Antibody Affinity Purified
Product Details
Specifications
The epitope recognized by A300-869A maps to a region between residue 1040 and the C-terminus (residue 1087) of human Suppressor of Ty 5 Homolog using the numbering given in entry NP_003160.2 (GeneID 6829).
Immunoglobulin concentration was determined using Beer’s Law where 1mg/mL IgG has an A280 of 1.4. Antibody was affinity purified using an epitope specific to SUPT5H immobilized on solid support.
The epitope recognized by A300-869A-T maps to a region between residue 1040 and the C-terminus (residue 1087) of human Suppressor of Ty 5 Homolog using the numbering given in entry NP_003160.2 (GeneID 6829).
Additional Product Information
Transcription elongation is one step in the multistage process of transcription that involves the polymerization of nucleoside monophosphates into a ribonucleotide transcript catalyzed by the multisubunit complex RNA Pol II. Transcriptional regulation involves positive factors that promote sufficient elongation rates and processivity as well as negative elongation factors that repress transcription elongation. SUPT5H is a subunit of the DRB sensitivity inducing factor (DSIF) along with SUPT4H that functions as a negative elongation factor. DSIF associates with RNA Pol II and may inhibit elongation by pausing and terminating RNA Pol II activity.
Alternate Names
DRB sensitivity-inducing factor 160 kDa subunit; DRB sensitivity-inducing factor large subunit; DSIF large subunit; DSIF p160; hSPT5; SPT5; SPT5H; suppressor of Ty 5 homolog; Tat-cotransactivator 1 protein; Tat-CT1; Tat-CT1 protein; transcription elongation factor SPT5
Applications
All western blot analysis is performed using 5% Milk-TBST for blocking and as antibody diluent. Primary antibody is incubated overnight.
Western blots of cell lysates are performed using Goat anti-Rabbit IgG Heavy and Light Chain Antibody (Cat. No. A120-101P).
