Rabbit anti-TDP43 Antibody Affinity Purified
Product Details
Specifications
The epitope recognized by A303-223A maps to a region between residue 150 and 200 of human TAR DNA-Binding Protein 43 using the numbering given in entry NP_031401.1 (GeneID 23435).
Immunoglobulin concentration was determined using Beer’s Law where 1mg/mL IgG has an A280 of 1.4. Antibody was affinity purified using an epitope specific to TDP43 immobilized on solid support.
The epitope recognized by A303-223A-T maps to a region between residue 150 and 200 of human TAR DNA-Binding Protein 43 using the numbering given in entry NP_031401.1 (GeneID 23435).
Additional Product Information
Tar DNA-binding protein 43 (TDP43) is a DNA and RNA-binding protein which regulates transcription and splicing. It is involved in the regulation of CFTR splicing. It promotes CFTR exon 9 skipping by binding to the UG repeated motifs in the polymorphic region near the 3'-splice site of this exon. The resulting aberrant splicing is associated with pathological features typical of cystic fibrosis. TDP43 may also be involved in microRNA biogenesis, apoptosis and cell division. TDP43 can repress HIV-1 transcription by binding to the HIV-1 long terminal repeat. Also, TDP43 stabilizes the low molecular weight neurofilament (NFL) mRNA through a direct interaction with the 3' UTR [taken from the Universal Protein Resource (UniProt) www.uniprot.org/uniprot/ Q13148].

Applications
All western blot analysis is performed using 5% Milk-TBST for blocking and as antibody diluent. Primary antibody is incubated overnight.
Western blots of cell lysates are performed using Goat anti-Rabbit IgG Heavy and Light Chain Antibody (Cat. No. A120-101P).
Western blots of immunoprecipitates are performed using Goat anti-Rabbit Light Chain HRP Conjugate (Cat. No. A120-113P) with 5% Normal Pig Serum (Cat. No. S100-020) added to the blocking buffer.
