Rabbit anti-TLK1 Antibody Affinity Purified
Product Details
Specifications
The epitope recognized by A301-252A maps to a region between residue 150 and 200 of human tousled-like kinase 1 using the numbering given in entry NP_036422.3 (GeneID 9874).
Immunoglobulin concentration was determined using Beer’s Law where 1mg/mL IgG has an A280 of 1.4. Antibody was affinity purified using an epitope specific to TLK1 immobilized on solid support.
The epitope recognized by A301-252A-T maps to a region between residue 150 and 200 of human tousled-like kinase 1 using the numbering given in entry NP_036422.3 (GeneID 9874).
Additional Product Information
Tousled-like kinase 1 (TLK1) is a serine/threonine kinase involved in chromatin assembly and the DNA damage response. The tousled (Tsl) kinase was first identified in Arabidopsis thaliana and speculated to be involved in cell division during patterning of plant organs. There are two tousled-like kinases in humans, TLK1 and TLK2, that can dimerize or heterodimerize for function and can be phosphorylated and inactivated by Chk1 in response to DNA damage. The histone chaperone, Asf1 (anti-silencing function 1), has been reported as a substrate for both TLK1 and TLK2. TLK1 has also been shown to be important for cell cycle progression and proper chromosome segregation.
Alternate Names
PKU-beta; serine threonine protein kinase; serine/threonine-protein kinase tousled-like 1; SNARE protein kinase SNAK; Tousled-like kinase 1
Applications
All western blot analysis is performed using 5% Milk-TBST for blocking and as antibody diluent. Primary antibody is incubated overnight.
Western blots of cell lysates are performed using Goat anti-Rabbit IgG Heavy and Light Chain Antibody (Cat. No. A120-101P).
Western blots of immunoprecipitates are performed using Goat anti-Rabbit Light Chain HRP Conjugate (Cat. No. A120-113P) with 5% Normal Pig Serum (Cat. No. S100-020) added to the blocking buffer.
