Rabbit anti-USP38 Antibody Affinity Purified
Product Details
Specifications
The epitope recognized by A300-941A maps to a region between residue 700 and 750 of human Ubiquitin Specific Peptidase 38 using the numbering given in entry NP_115946.2 (GeneID 84640).
Immunoglobulin concentration was determined using Beer’s Law where 1mg/mL IgG has an A280 of 1.4. Antibody was affinity purified using an epitope specific to USP38 immobilized on solid support.
The epitope recognized by A300-941A-T maps to a region between residue 700 and 750 of human Ubiquitin Specific Peptidase 38 using the numbering given in entry NP_115946.2 (GeneID 84640).
Additional Product Information
Ubiquitin (Ub) is a highly conserved protein found ubiquitously in eukaryotic organisms. The conjugation of ubiquitin to proteins is an important means to regulate protein activity for many cellular processes by tagging them for degradation. Removal of Ub can rescue proteins from degradation. This is accomplished by the ubiquitin-specific processing protease (UBP) family of enzymes. Ubiquitin specific processing protease 38 (USP38) is a member of this family.
Alternate Names
deubiquitinating enzyme 38; HP43.8KD; ubiquitin carboxyl-terminal hydrolase 38; ubiquitin specific protease 38; ubiquitin thioesterase 38; ubiquitin thiolesterase 38; ubiquitin-specific-processing protease 38
Applications
All western blot analysis is performed using 5% Milk-TBST for blocking and as antibody diluent. Primary antibody is incubated overnight.
Western blots of cell lysates are performed using Goat anti-Rabbit IgG Heavy and Light Chain Antibody (Cat. No. A120-101P).
Western blots of immunoprecipitates are performed using Goat anti-Rabbit Light Chain HRP Conjugate (Cat. No. A120-113P) with 5% Normal Pig Serum (Cat. No. S100-020) added to the blocking buffer.
