Production Procedures
Antibody was affinity purified using an epitope specific to WRN immobilized on solid support.

The epitope recognized by IHC-00407 maps to a region between residues 1400 and the C-terminus (residue 1432) of human Werner Syndrome Helicase using the numbering given in SwissProt entry Q14191 (GeneID 7486).

Immunoglobulin concentration was determined using Beer’s Law where 1mg/mL IgG has an A280 of 1.4.

Additional Product Information

The protein product of the Werner’s syndrome (WRN) gene is the Werner syndrome ATP-dependent helicase. WRN is part of the ReqQ family of helicases that unwind DNA in preparation for replication, transcription, and repair. WRN appears to play a versatile role in cellular processes including DNA replication, transcription and the maintenance of genomic integrity.

7486
WRN
Werner syndrome RecQ like helicase
Q14191
Werner syndrome ATP-dependent helicase

Alternate Names

DNA helicase, RecQ-like type 3; exonuclease WRN; recQ protein-like 2; RECQ3; RECQL2; RECQL3; Werner syndrome ATP-dependent helicase; Werner syndrome, RecQ helicase-like

Applications

Epitope exposure is recommended.

Epitope exposure with tris-EDTA pH9.0 buffer will enhance staining.

Likely to work with frozen sections.

In some cases, the antibody may be diluted further than indicated.
