Rabbit anti-ZC3H8 Antibody Affinity Purified
Product Details
Specifications
The epitope recognized by A303-089A maps to a region between residue 1 and 50 of human Znc Finger CCCH-type Containing 8 using the numbering given in entry NP_115883.2 (GeneID 84524).
Immunoglobulin concentration was determined using Beer’s Law where 1mg/mL IgG has an A280 of 1.4. Antibody was affinity purified using an epitope specific to ZC3H8 immobilized on solid support.
The epitope recognized by A303-089A-T maps to a region between residue 1 and 50 of human Znc Finger CCCH-type Containing 8 using the numbering given in entry NP_115883.2 (GeneID 84524).
Additional Product Information
Zinc-finger CCCH domain-containing protein 8 (ZC3H8) acts as a transcriptional repressor of the GATA3 promoter. It is a sequence-specific DNA-binding factor that binds to the 5'-AGGTCTC-3' sequence within the negative cis-acting element intronic regulatory region (IRR) of the GATA3 gene (by similarity). ZC3H8 induces thymocyte apoptosis when overexpressed, which may indicate a role in regulation of thymocyte homeostasis [taken from the Universal Protein Resource (UniProt) www.uniprot.org/uniprot/ Q8N5P1].
Alternate Names
Fliz1; ZC3HDC8; zinc finger CCCH domain-containing protein 8; zinc finger CCCH-type domain containing 8
Applications
All western blot analysis is performed using 5% Milk-TBST for blocking and as antibody diluent. Primary antibody is incubated overnight.
Western blots of cell lysates are performed using Goat anti-Rabbit IgG Heavy and Light Chain Antibody (Cat. No. A120-101P).
Western blots of immunoprecipitates are performed using Goat anti-Rabbit Light Chain HRP Conjugate (Cat. No. A120-113P) with 5% Normal Pig Serum (Cat. No. S100-020) added to the blocking buffer.
