Additional Product Information
Chicken egg yolk is an alternative source for producing target-specific monoclonal antibodies. The main immunoglobulin present in avian blood (IgY) is transmitted to their offspring and accumulates in egg yolks, which enables the non-invasive harvesting of high amounts of antibodies. The IgY molecule has a structure similar to that of IgG, with two heavy chains, each with a molecular weight of 67 to 70 kDa, and two light chains (L) of 25 kDa.
Applications
All western blot analysis is performed using 5% Milk-TBST for blocking and as antibody diluent. Primary antibody is incubated overnight.
Western blots are performed using Goat anti-Mouse IgG Heavy and Light Chain Antibody (A90-116P).
