Product Description
SH3 domain-binding protein 2 (SH3BP2) N-terminal pleckstrin homology (PH) domain, an SH3-binding proline-rich region, and a C-terminal SH2 domain. The protein binds to the SH3 domains of several proteins including the ABL1 and SYK protein tyrosine kinases, and functions as a cytoplasmic adaptor protein to positively regulate transcriptional activity in T, natural killer (NK), and basophilic cells. Mutations in this gene result in cherubism, an autosomal dominant inherited syndrome characterized by excessive bone degradation of the upper and lower jaws followed by development of fibrous tissue masses and characteristic facial swelling [taken from NCBI Entrez Gene (Gene ID: 6452)].

Antibody was affinity purified using an epitope specific to SH3BP2 immobilized on solid support.
The epitope recognized by A303-287A maps to a region between residue 400 and 450 of human SH3-Domain Binding Protein 2 using the numbering given in entry NP_001116153.1 (GeneID 6452).
Immunoglobulin concentration was determined using Beer’s Law where 1mg/mL IgG has an A280 of 1.4.
Applications
All western blot analysis is performed using 5% Milk-TBST for blocking and as antibody diluent. Primary antibody is incubated overnight.
Western blots of immunoprecipitates are performed using an anti-Rabbit IgG Light Chain HRP-conjugated antibody with 5% Normal Pig Serum (Cat. No. S100-020) added to the blocking buffer.
