Production Procedures | Antibody was affinity purified using an epitope specific to RP1 immobilized on solid support. The epitope recognized by A302-714A maps to a region between residue 300 and 350 of human microtubule-associated protein, RP/EB family, member 2 using the numbering given in entry NP_055083.1 (GeneID 10982). Immunoglobulin concentration was determined using Beer’s Law where 1mg/mL IgG has an A280 of 1.4., Antibody was affinity purified using an epitope specific to RP1 immobilized on solid support. The epitope recognized by A302-714A-T maps to a region between residue 300 and 350 of human microtubule-associated protein, RP/EB family, member 2 using the numbering given in entry NP_055083.1 (GeneID 10982). |

All western blot analysis is performed using 5% Milk-TBST for blocking and as antibody diluent. Primary antibody is incubated overnight.
Western blots of cell lysates are performed using Goat anti-Rabbit IgG Heavy and Light Chain Antibody (Cat. No. A120-101P).
Western blots of immunoprecipitates are performed using Goat anti-Rabbit Light Chain HRP Conjugate (Cat. No. A120-113P) with 5% Normal Pig Serum (Cat. No. S100-020) added to the blocking buffer.
Immunoprecipitation (IP) | 6 µg/mg lysate |
Western Blot (WB) | 1:2000 - 1:10,000 |
RP1 is a member of the EB1 family of proteins. The members of the human EB1 family are encoded by 3 genes: MAPRE1, MAPRE2, and MAPRE3. The proteins encoded by these genes are EB1, RP1, and EBF3. These proteins have been shown to associate with the tumor suppressor APC (adenomatous polyposis coli) and p150glued. The cellular function of RP1 has not been fully characterized but it may be involved in microtubule polymerization and spindle function.
