Client: A high-capacity point-of-care diagnostic manufacturer To support the development and commercial release of a rapid point-of-care diagnostic for SARS-COV-2, the customer required a supply of high-sensitivity custom gold conjugates at scale. nanoComposix developed and scaled a custom process to produce antibody-nanoshell conjugates, meeting the required sensitivity targets and production scale. Customer’s assay has received approval for use in Australia with additional approvals pending.
Client: Diagnostic BioSensor Developer Developers of an innovative new biosensor technology with a proprietary method for the detection of waterborne contaminants evaluated a panel of amplicon detection LFAs, including the Fortis AmpliDetect Kit, to pair with their biosensor technology. After demonstrated marked improvement in comparison to the alternative LFAs, the developer approached Fortis to optimize the AmpliDetect test strip to include their proprietary reagents and scaling the manufacturing process to meet their commercial needs. Customization of the LFA and integration of the new product under formal design controls has now been completed.
Client: Global leader in the development of food safety detection technologies To maintain their leadership position in point-of-care food safety testing, the customer needed to improve the sensitivity of their assays and enable multiplexed testing. Using gold nanoshells from nanoComposix, the customer was able to achieve the required sensitivity and multiplexing performance and maintain their market leadership. Ongoing collaboration with the client has expanded to include bulk supply of 80 nm gold colloid to meet other assay-specific requirements.
