Immunogen was a peptide representing a region between residue 0 and 50 of human Troponin I (cardiac muscle) using the numbering given in entry NP_000354.4 (Gene ID 7137).
Additional Product Information
Troponin I is the inhibitory subunit of troponin, the thin filament regulatory complex which confers calcium-sensitivity to striated muscle actomyosin ATPase activity. The Troponin I subfamily contains three genes: Troponin I-skeletal-fast-twitch, Troponin I-skeletal-slow-twitch, and Troponin I-cardiac. Troponin I-cardiac is exclusively expressed in cardiac muscle tissues. [taken from the Universal Protein Resource (UniProt) www.uniprot.org/uniprot/P19429].
Alternate Names
Cardiac troponin I;cardiomyopathy, dilated 2A (autosomal recessive);CMD1FF;CMD2A;CMH7;cTnI;RCM1;TNNC1;troponin I type 3 (cardiac);troponin I, cardiac muscle
Applications
All western blot analysis is performed using 5% Milk-TBST for blocking and as antibody diluent. Primary antibody is incubated overnight.
Western blots of cell lysates are performed using Goat anti-Rabbit IgG Heavy and Light Chain Antibody (Cat. No. A120-101P).
