Rabbit anti-Ku80 Antibody Affinity Purified
Product Details
Specifications
The epitope recognized by A302-627A maps to a region between residue 150 and 200 of human Lupus Ku autoantigen protein p86 using the numbering given in entry NP_066964.1 (GeneID 7520).
Immunoglobulin concentration was determined using Beer’s Law where 1mg/mL IgG has an A280 of 1.4. Antibody was affinity purified using an epitope specific to Ku80 immobilized on solid support.
The epitope recognized by A302-627A-T maps to a region between residue 150 and 200 of human Lupus Ku autoantigen protein p86 using the numbering given in entry NP_066964.1 (GeneID 7520).
Additional Product Information
Ku80 is the 80 kDa subunit of the lupus Ku autoantigen. The lupus Ku autoantigen was identified in individuals with systemic lupus erythematosus (SLE) and related disorders. The Ku antigen is a heterodimer of Ku70 and Ku80. The Ku70/Ku80 complex functions as a single-stranded DNA-dependent ATP-dependent helicase. The complex may be involved in the repair of nonhomologous DNA ends such as that required for double-strand break repair, transposition, and V(D)J recombination [taken from the Universal Protein Resource (UniProt) www.uniprot.org/uniprot/P13010].

Applications
All western blot analysis is performed using 5% Milk-TBST for blocking and as antibody diluent. Primary antibody is incubated overnight.
Western blots of cell lysates are performed using Goat anti-Rabbit IgG Heavy and Light Chain Antibody (Cat. No. A120-101P).
Western blots of immunoprecipitates are performed using Goat anti-Rabbit Light Chain HRP Conjugate (Cat. No. A120-113P) with 5% Normal Pig Serum (Cat. No. S100-020) added to the blocking buffer.
