Rabbit anti-AATF/Che-1 Antibody Affinity Purified
Product Details
Specifications
The epitope recognized by A301-031A maps to a region between residue 125 and 175 of human apoptosis antagonizing transcription factor (Che-1) using the numbering given in entry NP_036270.1 (GeneID 26574).
Immunoglobulin concentration was determined using Beer’s Law where 1mg/mL IgG has an A280 of 1.4. Antibody was affinity purified using an epitope specific to AATF/Che-1 immobilized on solid support.
The epitope recognized by A301-031A-T maps to a region between residue 125 and 175 of human apoptosis antagonizing transcription factor (Che-1) using the numbering given in entry NP_036270.1 (GeneID 26574).
Additional Product Information
AATF/Che-1 was identified as a protein that interacts with RNA polymerase II and is involved in the regulation of gene transcription and cell proliferation. AATF/Che-1 has been demonstrated to promote cell proliferation by acting as a competitor of histone deacetylase 1 (HDAC1) and interfering with HDAC1’s interaction with the growth inhibiting protein pRB. AATF has also been shown to function as a nuclear receptor coactivator and a repressor of apoptosis.
Alternate Names
Apoptosis-antagonizing transcription factor; BFR2; CHE1; CHE-1; DED; protein AATF; rb-binding protein Che-1
Applications
All western blot analysis is performed using 5% Milk-TBST for blocking and as antibody diluent. Primary antibody is incubated overnight.
Western blots of cell lysates are performed using Goat anti-Rabbit IgG Heavy and Light Chain Antibody (Cat. No. A120-101P).
Western blots of immunoprecipitates are performed using Goat anti-Rabbit Light Chain HRP Conjugate (Cat. No. A120-113P) with 5% Normal Pig Serum (Cat. No. S100-020) added to the blocking buffer.
