Rabbit anti-Abraxas Antibody Affinity Purified
Product Details
Specifications
The epitope recognized by A302-181A-T maps to a region between residue 400 and 409 of human Abraxas (coiled-coil domain containing 98) using the numbering given in entry NP_620775.2 (GeneID 84142).
Immunoglobulin concentration was determined using Beer’s Law where 1mg/mL IgG has an A280 of 1.4. Antibody was affinity purified using an epitope specific to Abraxas immobilized on solid support.

Additional Product Information
Abraxas was identified in a phosphopeptide affinity proteomic and mass spec analysis as a protein that bound directly to the BRCA1 BRCT repeat. Along with RAP80, Abraxas was required to form a complex with BRCA1 for the DNA damage response.
Alternate Names
ABRA1; abraxas protein; BRCA1-A complex subunit Abraxas; BRCA1-A complex subunit Abraxas 1; CCDC98; coiled-coil domain containing 98; Coiled-coil domain-containing protein 98; FAM175A; family with sequence similarity 175 member A; Protein FAM175A
Applications
All western blot analysis is performed using 5% Milk-TBST for blocking and as antibody diluent. Primary antibody is incubated overnight.
Western blots of immunoprecipitates are performed using Goat anti-Rabbit Light Chain HRP Conjugate (Cat. No. A120-113P) with 5% Normal Pig Serum (Cat. No. S100-020) added to the blocking buffer.
