Additional Product Information
Autophagy-related protein 13 (ATG13) is an autophagy factor required for autophagosome formation and mitophagy. It is a target of the TOR kinase signaling pathway that regulates autophagy through the control of the phosphorylation status of ATG13 and ULK1, and the regulation of the ATG13-ULK1-RB1CC1 complex. Through its regulation of ULK1 activity, ATG13 plays a role in the regulation of the kinase activity of mTORC1 and cell proliferation [taken from the Universal Protein Resource (UniProt) www.uniprot.org/uniprot/O75143].
Alternate Names
ATG13 autophagy related 13 homolog; autophagy-related protein 13; KIAA0652; PARATARG8
Applications
All western blot analysis is performed using 5% Milk-TBST for blocking and as antibody diluent. Primary antibody is incubated overnight.
Western blots of cell lysates are performed using Goat anti-Rabbit IgG Heavy and Light Chain Antibody (Cat. No. A120-101P).
Western blots of immunoprecipitates are performed using Goat anti-Rabbit Light Chain HRP Conjugate (Cat. No. A120-113P) with 5% Normal Pig Serum (Cat. No. S100-020) added to the blocking buffer.
