Additional Product Information
Atg4B (ATG4 autophagy related 4 homolog B) is a cysteine protease required for autophagy, which cleaves the C-terminal part of either MAP1LC3, GABARAPL2 or GABARAP, allowing the liberation of form I. A subpopulation of form I is subsequently converted to a smaller form (form II). Form II, with a revealed C-terminal glycine, is considered to be the phosphatidylethanolamine (PE)-conjugated form, and has the capacity for the binding to autophagosomes [taken from the Universal Protein Resource (UniProt) www.uniprot.org/uniprot/ Q9Y4P1].
Alternate Names
APG4 autophagy 4 homolog B; APG4B; ATG4 autophagy related 4 homolog B; AUTL1; AUT-like 1 cysteine endopeptidase; autophagin-1; autophagy-related cysteine endopeptidase 1; autophagy-related protein 4 homolog B; cysteine protease ATG4B; hAPG4B
Applications
All western blot analysis is performed using 5% Milk-TBST for blocking and as antibody diluent. Primary antibody is incubated overnight.
Western blots of immunoprecipitates are performed using Goat anti-Rabbit Light Chain HRP Conjugate (Cat. No. A120-113P) with 5% Normal Pig Serum (Cat. No. S100-020) added to the blocking buffer.
