Rabbit anti-BRD8 Antibody Affinity Purified
Product Details
Specifications
The epitope recognized by A300-220A maps to a region found within isoform 2 between residues 225 and 275 of human Bromodomain containing 8 using the numbering given in Swiss-Prot entry Q9H0E9.2 (GeneID 10902).
Immunoglobulin concentration was determined using Beer’s Law where 1mg/mL IgG has an A280 of 1.4. Antibody was affinity purified using an epitope specific to BRD8 immobilized on solid support.
The epitope recognized by A300-220A-T maps to a region found within isoform 2 between residues 225 and 275 of human Bromodomain containing 8 using the numbering given in Swiss-Prot entry Q9H0E9.2 (GeneID 10902).
Additional Product Information
BRD8 (bromodomain-containing 8) has been identified as a thyroid hormone receptor coactivator as well as a GTPase activating protein (GAP) for Arf6 that regulates clathrin-dependent vesicle trafficking. BRD8 has also been identified as a gene upregulated during formation of the neointima layer of blood vessels and named smooth muscle activating protein 2 (SMAP2).
Alternate Names
bromodomain-containing protein 8; p120; Skeletal muscle abundant protein; skeletal muscle abundant protein 2; SMAP; SMAP2; thyroid hormone receptor coactivating protein of 120 kDa; trCP120
Applications
All western blot analysis is performed using 5% Milk-TBST for blocking and as antibody diluent. Primary antibody is incubated overnight.
Western blots of cell lysates are performed using Goat anti-Rabbit IgG Heavy and Light Chain Antibody (Cat. No. A120-101P).
Western blots of immunoprecipitates are performed using Goat anti-Rabbit Light Chain HRP Conjugate (Cat. No. A120-113P) with 5% Normal Pig Serum (Cat. No. S100-020) added to the blocking buffer.
