Rabbit anti-CD48 Antibody Affinity Purified
Product Details
Specifications
The epitope recognized by A304-436A maps to a region between residue 150 to 200 of human CD48 Molecule using the numbering given in entry NP_001769.2 (GeneID 962).
Immunoglobulin concentration was determined using Beer’s Law where 1mg/mL IgG has an A280 of 1.4. Antibody was affinity purified using an epitope specific to CD48 immobilized on solid support.
The epitope recognized by A304-436A-T maps to a region between residue 150 to 200 of human CD48 Molecule using the numbering given in entry NP_001769.2 (GeneID 962).
Additional Product Information
CD48 is a member of the CD2 subfamily of immunoglobulin-like receptors which includes SLAM (signaling lymphocyte activation molecules) proteins. CD48 is found on the surface of lymphocytes and other immune cells, dendritic cells and endothelial cells, and participates in activation and differentiation pathways in these cells. CD48 does not have a transmembrane domain, but is held at the cell surface by a GPI anchor via a C-terminal domain which maybe cleaved to yield a soluble form of the receptor [taken from NCBI Entrez Gene (Gene ID: 962)].

Applications
All western blot analysis is performed using 5% Milk-TBST for blocking and as antibody diluent. Primary antibody is incubated overnight.
Western blots of cell lysates are performed using Goat anti-Rabbit IgG Heavy and Light Chain Antibody (Cat. No. A120-101P).
Western blots of immunoprecipitates are performed using Goat anti-Rabbit Light Chain HRP Conjugate (Cat. No. A120-113P) with 5% Normal Pig Serum (Cat. No. S100-020) added to the blocking buffer.
