Rabbit anti-CKII alpha Antibody Affinity Purified
Product Details
Specifications
The epitope recognized by A300-198A maps to a region between residue 350 and the C-terminus (residue 391) of human Casein Kinase 2, alpha 1 using the numbering given in entry NP_001886.1 (GeneID 1457).
Immunoglobulin concentration was determined using Beer’s Law where 1mg/mL IgG has an A280 of 1.4. Antibody was affinity purified using an epitope specific to CKII alpha immobilized on solid support.
The epitope recognized by A300-198A-T maps to a region between residue 350 and the C-terminus (residue 391) of human Casein Kinase 2, alpha 1 using the numbering given in entry NP_001886.1 (GeneID 1457).
Additional Product Information
Casein kinase II (CKII) is a serine/threonine protein kinase that is required for progression through the cell cycle but whose major functions are not clearly understood. CKII is composed of a heterotetrameric complex that includes alpha and alpha-prime catalytic subunits and a beta non-catalytic subunit. Although from independent genes, CKII alpha and CKII alpha-prime can compensate for each other for some functions. However in response to ionizing radiation (IR) damage, CKII alpha and CKII alpha-prime appear to function independently in inhibiting apoptosis signaling.
Alternate Names
casein kinase 2, alpha 1 polypeptide; casein kinase II alpha 1 polypeptide pseudogene; casein kinase II alpha 1 subunit; casein kinase II subunit alpha; CK II alpha; CK2 catalytic subunit alpha; CK2A1; Cka1; Cka2; CKII; OCNDS; protein kinase CK2
Applications
All western blot analysis is performed using 5% Milk-TBST for blocking and as antibody diluent. Primary antibody is incubated overnight.
Western blots of cell lysates are performed using Goat anti-Rabbit IgG Heavy and Light Chain Antibody (Cat. No. A120-101P).
Western blots of immunoprecipitates are performed using Goat anti-Rabbit Light Chain HRP Conjugate (Cat. No. A120-113P) with 5% Normal Pig Serum (Cat. No. S100-020) added to the blocking buffer.
