Rabbit anti-DDX1 Antibody Affinity Purified
Product Details
Specifications
The epitope recognized by A300-520A maps to a region between residues 500 and 550 of human DEAD (Asp-Glu-Ala-Asp) Box Polypeptide 1 using the numbering given in entry AAH12739.1 (GeneID 1653).
Immunoglobulin concentration was determined using Beer’s Law where 1mg/mL IgG has an A280 of 1.4. Antibody was affinity purified using an epitope specific to DDX1 immobilized on solid support.
The epitope recognized by A300-520A-T maps to a region between residues 500 and 550 of human DEAD (Asp-Glu-Ala-Asp) Box Polypeptide 1 using the numbering given in entry AAH12739.1 (GeneID 1653).
Additional Product Information
DDX1 is a member of the DEAD box family of proteins that possesses several conserved motifs which include the highly conserved DEAD (Asp-Glu-Ala-Asp) amino acid sequence motif. The major activity of DEAD box proteins is to function as ATP-dependent RNA helicases. As helicases, DEAD proteins play an important role in all aspects of RNA metabolism and function which include pre-mRNA splicing, RNA synthesis, RNA degradation, RNA export, RNA translation, RNA secondary structure formation, ribosome biogenesis, and the assembly of RNP complexes. DDX1 has been found to associate with factors involved in 3’-end cleavage and polyadenylation of pre-mRNAs.
Alternate Names

Applications
All western blot analysis is performed using 5% Milk-TBST for blocking and as antibody diluent. Primary antibody is incubated overnight.
Western blots of cell lysates are performed using Goat anti-Rabbit IgG Heavy and Light Chain Antibody (Cat. No. A120-101P).
