Rabbit anti-DDX18 Antibody Affinity Purified
Product Details
Specifications
The epitope recognized by A300-635A maps to a region between residues 1 and 50 of human DEAD (Asp-Glu-Ala-Asp) Box Protein 18 using the numbering given in entry NP_006764.3 (GeneID 8886).
Immunoglobulin concentration was determined using Beer’s Law where 1mg/mL IgG has an A280 of 1.4. Antibody was affinity purified using an epitope specific to DDX18 immobilized on solid support.
The epitope recognized by A300-635A-T maps to a region between residues 1 and 50 of human DEAD (Asp-Glu-Ala-Asp) Box Protein 18 using the numbering given in entry NP_006764.3 (GeneID 8886).
Additional Product Information
DDX18 is a member of the DEAD box family of proteins that possesses several conserved motifs which include the highly conserved DEAD (Asp-Glu-Ala-Asp) amino acid sequence motif. The major activity of DEAD box proteins is to function as ATP-dependent RNA helicases. As helicases, DEAD proteins play an important role in all aspects of RNA metabolism and function which include pre-mRNA splicing, RNA synthesis, RNA degradation, RNA export, RNA translation, RNA secondary structure formation, ribosome biogenesis, and the assembly of RNP complexes. DDX18 has been observed to be a target of myc-max heterodimers.
Alternate Names
ATP-dependent RNA helicase DDX18; DEAD (Asp-Glu-Ala-Asp) box polypeptide 18; DEAD box protein 18; DEAD/H (Asp-Glu-Ala-Asp/His) box polypeptide 18 (Myc-regulated); Has1; MrDb; Myc-regulated DEAD box protein
Applications
All western blot analysis is performed using 5% Milk-TBST for blocking and as antibody diluent. Primary antibody is incubated overnight.
Western blots of cell lysates are performed using Goat anti-Rabbit IgG Heavy and Light Chain Antibody (Cat. No. A120-101P).
Western blots of immunoprecipitates are performed using Goat anti-Rabbit Light Chain HRP Conjugate (Cat. No. A120-113P) with 5% Normal Pig Serum (Cat. No. S100-020) added to the blocking buffer.
