Product Details
Specifications
The epitope recognized by A300-695A maps to a region between residue 775 and the C-terminus (residue 820) of human DEAD (Asp-Glu-Ala-Asp) box polypeptide 23 using the numbering given in entry NP_004809.2 (GeneID 9416).
Immunoglobulin concentration was determined using Beer’s Law where 1mg/mL IgG has an A280 of 1.4. Antibody was affinity purified using an epitope specific to DDX23 immobilized on solid support.
The epitope recognized by A300-695A-T maps to a region between residue 775 and the C-terminus (residue 820) of human DEAD (Asp-Glu-Ala-Asp) box polypeptide 23 using the numbering given in entry NP_004809.2 (GeneID 9416).
Additional Product Information
DDX23 is a member of the DEAD box family of proteins that possesses several conserved motifs which include the highly conserved DEAD (Asp-Glu-Ala-Asp) amino acid sequence motif. The major activity of DEAD box proteins is to function as ATP-dependent RNA helicases. As helicases, DEAD proteins play an important role in all aspects of RNA metabolism and function which include pre-mRNA splicing, RNA synthesis, RNA degradation, RNA export, RNA translation, RNA secondary structure formation, ribosome biogenesis, and the assembly of RNP complexes. DDX23 is a component of the U5 snRNP that may facilitate conformational changes in the splicesome during pre-mRNA splicing.
Alternate Names

Applications
All western blot analysis is performed using 5% Milk-TBST for blocking and as antibody diluent. Primary antibody is incubated overnight.
Western blots of cell lysates are performed using Goat anti-Rabbit IgG Heavy and Light Chain Antibody (Cat. No. A120-101P).
Western blots of immunoprecipitates are performed using Goat anti-Rabbit Light Chain HRP Conjugate (Cat. No. A120-113P) with 5% Normal Pig Serum (Cat. No. S100-020) added to the blocking buffer.
