Rabbit anti-DDX54 Antibody Affinity Purified
Product Details
Specifications
The epitope recognized by A301-313A maps to a region between residue 625 and 675 of human DEAD (Asp-Glu-Ala-Asp) box polypeptide 54 using the numbering given in entry NP_076977.3 (GeneID 79039).
Immunoglobulin concentration was determined using Beer’s Law where 1mg/mL IgG has an A280 of 1.4. Antibody was affinity purified using an epitope specific to DDX54 immobilized on solid support.
The epitope recognized by A301-313A-T maps to a region between residue 625 and 675 of human DEAD (Asp-Glu-Ala-Asp) box polypeptide 54 using the numbering given in entry NP_076977.3 (GeneID 79039).
Additional Product Information
DDX54 is a member of the DEAD box family of proteins that possesses several conserved motifs which include the highly conserved DEAD (Asp-Glu-Ala-Asp) amino acid sequence motif. The major activity of DEAD box proteins is to function as ATP-dependent RNA helicases. As helicases, DEAD proteins play an important role in all aspects of RNA metabolism and function which include pre-mRNA splicing, RNA synthesis, RNA degradation, RNA export, RNA translation, RNA secondary structure formation, ribosome biogenesis, and the assembly of RNP complexes. DDX54 has been shown to interact with nuclear hormone receptors in a hormone –dependent manner and repress their transcriptional activity.
Alternate Names
ATP-dependent RNA helicase DDX54; ATP-dependent RNA helicase DP97; DEAD (Asp-Glu-Ala-Asp) box polypeptide 54; DEAD box helicase 97 KDa; DEAD box protein 54; DEAD box RNA helicase 97 kDa; DP97
Applications
All western blot analysis is performed using 5% Milk-TBST for blocking and as antibody diluent. Primary antibody is incubated overnight.
Western blots of cell lysates are performed using Goat anti-Rabbit IgG Heavy and Light Chain Antibody (Cat. No. A120-101P).
Western blots of immunoprecipitates are performed using Goat anti-Rabbit Light Chain HRP Conjugate (Cat. No. A120-113P) with 5% Normal Pig Serum (Cat. No. S100-020) added to the blocking buffer.
