Additional Product Information
DNA cytosine methyltransferase 3A2 (DNMT3A) is required for genome-wide de novo methylation and is essential for the establishment of DNA methylation patterns during development. DNA methylation is coordinated with methylation of histones. DNMT3A modifies DNA in a non-processive manner and also methylates non-CpG sites. It may preferentially methylate DNA linker between 2 nucleosomal cores and is inhibited by histone H1. DNMT3A plays a role in paternal and maternal imprinting and is required for methylation of most imprinted loci in germ cells [taken from the Universal Protein Resource (UniProt) www.uniprot.org/uniprot/Q9Y6K1].

Applications
All western blot analysis is performed using 5% Milk-TBST for blocking and as antibody diluent. Primary antibody is incubated overnight.
Western blots of cell lysates are performed using Goat anti-Rabbit IgG Heavy and Light Chain Antibody (Cat. No. A120-101P).
