Rabbit anti-Dysbindin1 Antibody Affinity Purified
Product Details
Specifications
The epitope recognized by A303-359A-T maps to a region between residue 251 and 301 of human Dystrobrevin Binding Protein 1 using the numbering given in entry NP_115498.2 (GeneID 84062).
Immunoglobulin concentration was determined using Beer’s Law where 1mg/mL IgG has an A280 of 1.4. Antibody was affinity purified using an epitope specific to Dysbindin1 immobilized on solid support.

Additional Product Information
Dysbindin1 may play a role in organelle biogenesis associated with melanosomes, platelet dense granules, and lysosomes. A similar protein in mouse is a component of a protein complex termed biogenesis of lysosome-related organelles complex 1 (BLOC-1), and binds to alpha- and beta-dystrobrevins, which are components of the dystrophin-associated protein complex (DPC). Mutations in the DTNBP1 gene are associated with Hermansky-Pudlak syndrome type 7. This gene may also be associated with schizophrenia [taken from NCBI Entrez Gene (Gene ID: 84062)].
Alternate Names
biogenesis of lysosomal organelles complex-1, subunit 8; biogenesis of lysosome-related organelles complex 1 subunit 8; BLOC-1 subunit 8; BLOC1S8; DBND; dysbindin; dysbindin-1; Dystrobrevin-binding protein 1; Hermansky-Pudlak syndrome 7 protein; HPS7; HPS7 protein; My031; SDY
Applications
All western blot analysis is performed using 5% Milk-TBST for blocking and as antibody diluent. Primary antibody is incubated overnight.
Western blots of immunoprecipitates are performed using Goat anti-Rabbit Light Chain HRP Conjugate (Cat. No. A120-113P) with 5% Normal Pig Serum (Cat. No. S100-020) added to the blocking buffer.
