Production Procedures
Antibody was affinity purified using an epitope specific to E2F4 immobilized on solid support.

The epitope recognized by A302-133A-T maps to a region between residue 300 and 350 of human E2F transcription factor 4 using the numbering given in entry NP_001941.2 (GeneID 1874).

Immunoglobulin concentration was determined using Beer’s Law where 1mg/mL IgG has an A280 of 1.4.

Additional Product Information

E2F4 is a member of the E2F family of transcription factors. It binds DNA at the E2 recognition site found in the promoter region of a number of genes involved in cell cycle regulation and DNA replication. E2F4 binds to pRb, p107, and p130. Via its interaction with p130, E2F4 plays an important role in maintaining G2 arrest during G2 phase checkpoint activation.

Applications

All western blot analysis is performed using 5% Milk-TBST for blocking and as antibody diluent. Primary antibody is incubated overnight.

Western blots of immunoprecipitates are performed using Goat anti-Rabbit Light Chain HRP Conjugate (Cat. No. A120-113P) with 5% Normal Pig Serum (Cat. No. S100-020) added to the blocking buffer.
