Production Procedures
Antibody was affinity purified using an epitope specific to EI24 immobilized on solid support.

The epitope recognized by A305-689A maps to a region between residue 290 to 340 of human Etoposide-induced protein 2.4 homolog using the numbering given in entry O14681.4 (GeneID 9538).

Immunoglobulin concentration was determined using Beer’s Law where 1mg/mL IgG has an A280 of 1.4.

Additional Product Information

Etoposide-induced protein 2.4 (EI24) acts as a negative growth regulator via p53-mediated apoptosis pathway.EI24 regulates formation of degradative autolysosomes during autophagy [taken from the Universal Protein Resource (UniProt) www.uniprot.org/uniprot/O14681].

EI24
EI24, autophagy associated transmembrane protein
O14681
Etoposide-induced protein 2.4 homolog

Alternate Names

ectopic P-granules autophagy protein 4 homolog; EPG4; etoposide induced 2.4; etoposide-induced protein 2.4 homolog; p53-induced gene 8 protein; PIG8; TP53I8; tumor protein p53 inducible protein 8

Applications

All western blot analysis is performed using 5% Milk-TBST for blocking and as antibody diluent. Primary antibody is incubated overnight.

Western blots of immunoprecipitates are performed using Goat anti-Rabbit Light Chain HRP Conjugate (Cat. No. A120-113P) with 5% Normal Pig Serum (Cat. No. S100-020) added to the blocking buffer.
