Rabbit anti-EIF2AK1 Antibody Affinity Purified
Product Details
Specifications
The epitope recognized by A302-685A-T maps to a region between residue 525 and 575 of human eukaryotic translation initiation factor 2-alpha kinase 1 using the numbering given in entry NP_055228.2 (GeneID 27102).
Immunoglobulin concentration was determined using Beer’s Law where 1mg/mL IgG has an A280 of 1.4. Antibody was affinity purified using an epitope specific to EIF2AK1 immobilized on solid support.

Additional Product Information
Eukaryotic translation initiation factor 2-alpha kinase 1 (EIF2AK1) is also known as Heme-regulated inhibitor (HRI). EIF2AK1 is regulated and inactivated by Hemin. EIF2AK1 Mediates down-regulation of protein synthesis in response to various stress conditions by the phosphorylation of eIF-2alpha at 'Ser-48' and 'Ser-51'.
Alternate Names
eukaryotic translation initiation factor 2-alpha kinase 1; HCR; heme regulated initiation factor 2 alpha kinase; heme sensitive initiation factor 2a kinase; heme-controlled repressor; heme-regulated eukaryotic initiation factor eIF-2-alpha kinase; heme-regulated inhibitor; heme-regulated repressor; hemin-sensitive initiation factor 2-alpha kinase; HRI
Applications
All western blot analysis is performed using 5% Milk-TBST for blocking and as antibody diluent. Primary antibody is incubated overnight.
Western blots of cell lysates are performed using Goat anti-Rabbit IgG Heavy and Light Chain Antibody (Cat. No. A120-101P).
Western blots of immunoprecipitates are performed using Goat anti-Rabbit Light Chain HRP Conjugate (Cat. No. A120-113P) with 5% Normal Pig Serum (Cat. No. S100-020) added to the blocking buffer.
