Rabbit anti-eIF2B5 Antibody Affinity Purified
Product Details
Specifications
The epitope recognized by A302-557A-T maps to a region between residue 550 and 600 of human eukaryotic translation initiation factor 2B, subunit 5 epsilon using the numbering given in entry NP_003898.2 (GeneID 8893).
Immunoglobulin concentration was determined using Beer’s Law where 1mg/mL IgG has an A280 of 1.4. Antibody was affinity purified using an epitope specific to eIF2B5 immobilized on solid support.

Additional Product Information
eIF2B5 is one of five subunits of the eukaryotic translation initiation factor 2B (eIF2B). eIF2B5 functions as a GTP exchange factor for eukaryotic initiation factor 2 and an essential regulator for protein synthesis. Mutations in the EIF2B5 gene and the genes encoding other EIF2B subunits have been associated with leukoencephalopathy with vanishing white matter (VWM) [taken from NCBI Entrez Gene (GeneID: 8893)].
Alternate Names
CACH; CLE; EIF-2B; eIF-2B GDP-GTP exchange factor subunit epsilon; EIF2Bepsilon; eukaryotic translation initiation factor 2B, subunit 5 epsilon, 82kDa; LVWM; translation initiation factor eIF-2B subunit epsilon
Applications
All western blot analysis is performed using 5% Milk-TBST for blocking and as antibody diluent. Primary antibody is incubated overnight.
Western blots of immunoprecipitates are performed using Goat anti-Rabbit Light Chain HRP Conjugate (Cat. No. A120-113P) with 5% Normal Pig Serum (Cat. No. S100-020) added to the blocking buffer.
