Rabbit anti-eIF2beta/EIF2S2 IHC Antibody Affinity Purified
Product Details
Specifications
The epitope recognized by IHC-00615 maps to a region between residue 283 and 333 of human eukaryotic translation initiation factor 2, subunit 2 beta, 38kDa using the numbering given in entry NP_003899.2 (GeneID 8894).
Immunoglobulin concentration was determined using Beer’s Law where 1mg/mL IgG has an A280 of 1.4. Antibody was affinity purified using an epitope specific to eIF2beta/EIF2S2 immobilized on solid support.
The epitope recognized by IHC-00615-T maps to a region between residue 283 and 333 of human eukaryotic translation initiation factor 2, subunit 2 beta, 38kDa using the numbering given in entry NP_003899.2 (GeneID 8894).
Immunoglobulin concentration was determined using Beer’s Law where 1mg/mL IgG has an A280 of 1.4.
Additional Product Information
Eukaryotic initiation factor 2 beta (eIF2beta) is the beta subunit of eukaryotic translation initiation factor 2 (eIF-2). eIF-2 forms a ternary complex with the 40S ribosomal subunit, GTP, and initiatior tRNA to function in the early steps of translation. The eIF-2 beta subunit catalyzes the exchange of GDP for GTP so that EIF-2 can function in another round of initiation.
Alternate Names
EIF2; EIF2B; EIF2beta; eIF-2-beta; eukaryotic translation initiation factor 2 subunit 2; Eukaryotic translation initiation factor 2 subunit beta; eukaryotic translation initiation factor 2, subunit 2 beta, 38kDa; PPP1R67; protein phosphatase 1, regulatory subunit 67
Applications
Epitope exposure is recommended.
Epitope exposure with citrate buffer will enhance staining.
Likely to work with frozen sections.
In some cases, the antibody may be diluted further than indicated.
