Rabbit anti-FAK Antibody Affinity Purified
Product Details
Specifications
The epitope recognized by A301-692A-T maps to a region between residue 325 and 375 of human focal adhesion kinase 1 using the numbering given in entry NP_005598.3 (GeneID 5747).
Immunoglobulin concentration was determined using Beer’s Law where 1mg/mL IgG has an A280 of 1.4. Antibody was affinity purified using an epitope specific to FAK immobilized on solid support.

Additional Product Information
Focal adhesion kinase (FAK) is a non-receptor protein-tyrosine kinase that localizes to the cytoplasm and is concentrated in focal adhesions, macromolecular assemblies that form a communicative link between the cell and the extracellular matrix. FAK signaling is stimulated by integrin-mediated responses, as well as growth factors, chemokines, and G-protein-linked receptors. FAK signaling influences cell motility, invasion, and survival.
Alternate Names
FADK; FADK 1; FAK; FAK1; FAK-related non-kinase polypeptide; focal adhesion kinase 1; focal adhesion kinase isoform FAK-Del33; focal adhesion kinase-related nonkinase; FRNK; p125FAK; pp125FAK; PPP1R71; protein phosphatase 1 regulatory subunit 71; Protein-tyrosine kinase 2; PTK2 protein tyrosine kinase 2
Applications
All western blot analysis is performed using 5% Milk-TBST for blocking and as antibody diluent. Primary antibody is incubated overnight.
Western blots of immunoprecipitates are performed using Goat anti-Rabbit Light Chain HRP Conjugate (Cat. No. A120-113P) with 5% Normal Pig Serum (Cat. No. S100-020) added to the blocking buffer.
