Rabbit anti-GBF1 Antibody Affinity Purified
Product Details
Specifications
The epitope recognized by A301-962A maps to a region between residue 650 and 700 of human golgi-specific brefeldin A resistance factor 1 using the numbering given in entry NP_004184.1 (GeneID 8729).
Immunoglobulin concentration was determined using Beer’s Law where 1mg/mL IgG has an A280 of 1.4. Antibody was affinity purified using an epitope specific to GBF1 immobilized on solid support.
The epitope recognized by A301-962A-T maps to a region between residue 650 and 700 of human golgi-specific brefeldin A resistance factor 1 using the numbering given in entry NP_004184.1 (GeneID 8729).
Immunoglobulin concentration was determined using Beer’s Law where 1mg/mL IgG has an A280 of 1.4.
Additional Product Information
GBF1 is a guanine nucleotide exchange factor (GEF) that promotes the exchange of GDP for GTP on ADP ribosylation factor 5(ARF5). GBF1 activity is inhibited by brefeldin, an antibiotic that interferes with protein transport. It has been show to be important to golgi assembly and the coordination of bidirectional transport. Due to these characteristics, GBF1 is also called Golgi-specific brefeldin A-resistance GEF 1.
Alternate Names
ARF1GEF; BFA-resistant GEF 1; Golgi-specific brefeldin A-resistance guanine nucleotide exchange factor 1
Applications
All western blot analysis is performed using 5% Milk-TBST for blocking and as antibody diluent. Primary antibody is incubated overnight.
Western blots of immunoprecipitates are performed using Goat anti-Rabbit Light Chain HRP Conjugate (Cat. No. A120-113P) with 5% Normal Pig Serum (Cat. No. S100-020) added to the blocking buffer.
