Rabbit anti-GCF Antibody Affinity Purified
Product Details
Specifications
The epitope recognized by A301-920A-T maps to a region between residue 731 and 781 of human GC-rich sequence DNA-binding factor using the numbering given in entry NP_003194.3 (GeneID 6936).
Immunoglobulin concentration was determined using Beer’s Law where 1mg/mL IgG has an A280 of 1.4. Antibody was affinity purified using an epitope specific to GCF immobilized on solid support.

Additional Product Information
GCF (GC-rich sequence DNA-binding factor) was identified as a factor that bound to GC-rich sequences and repressed transcription of the epidermal growth factor (EGF) receptor, beta-actin, and calcium-dependent protease promoters. Since its initial cloning and characterization, GCF has been observed to be a transcriptional repressor of several growth factor/receptor genes.
Alternate Names
C2orf3; DNABF; GC binding factor; GC bindng factor; GCF; GC-rich sequence DNA-binding factor; GC-rich sequence DNA-binding factor 2; TCF9; TCF-9; Transcription factor 9; transcription factor 9 (binds GC-rich sequences)
Applications
All western blot analysis is performed using 5% Milk-TBST for blocking and as antibody diluent. Primary antibody is incubated overnight.
Western blots of immunoprecipitates are performed using Goat anti-Rabbit Light Chain HRP Conjugate (Cat. No. A120-113P) with 5% Normal Pig Serum (Cat. No. S100-020) added to the blocking buffer.
