Rabbit anti-HSF1 Antibody Affinity Purified
Product Details
Specifications
The epitope recognized by A303-175A-T maps to a region between residue 425 and 475 of human Heat Shock Transcription Factor 1 using the numbering given in entry NP_005517.1 (GeneID 3297).
Immunoglobulin concentration was determined using Beer’s Law where 1mg/mL IgG has an A280 of 1.4. Antibody was affinity purified using an epitope specific to HSF1 immobilized on solid support.

Additional Product Information
Heat shock factor protein 1 (HSF1) is a DNA-binding protein that specifically binds heat shock promoter elements (HSE) and activates transcription. In higher eukaryotes, HSF is unable to bind to the HSE unless the cells are heat shocked [taken from the Universal Protein Resource (UniProt) www.uniprot.org/uniprot/ Q00613].
Alternate Names
heat shock factor protein 1; Heat shock transcription factor 1; HSF 1; HSTF 1; HSTF1
Applications
All western blot analysis is performed using 5% Milk-TBST for blocking and as antibody diluent. Primary antibody is incubated overnight.
Western blots of immunoprecipitates are performed using Goat anti-Rabbit Light Chain HRP Conjugate (Cat. No. A120-113P) with 5% Normal Pig Serum (Cat. No. S100-020) added to the blocking buffer.
