Rabbit anti-KANK2/SIP Antibody Affinity Purified
Product Details
Specifications
The epitope recognized by A301-408A-T maps to a region between residue 625 and 675 of human KN motif and ankyrin repeat domains 2 (SRC-1 interacting protein) using the numbering given in entry NP_056308.2 (GeneID 25959).
Immunoglobulin concentration was determined using Beer’s Law where 1mg/mL IgG has an A280 of 1.4. Antibody was affinity purified using an epitope specific to KANK2/SIP immobilized on solid support.

Additional Product Information
KANK2/SIP was first identified during a genome wide-screen for proteins that interact with the SRC transcriptional coactivator. KANK2/SIP was also identified by domain and phylogenetic analysis to be a member of the KANK ankyrin-repeat domain-containing protein family. KANK related proteins possess a conserved ankyrin-repeat and coiled-coil domain. KANK2, as well as other KANK proteins, appear to play a role in the formation of actin stress fibers.
Alternate Names
ANKRD25; ankyrin repeat domain-containing protein 25; kidney ankyrin repeat-containing protein 2; KN motif and ankyrin repeat domain-containing protein 2; matrix-remodeling-associated protein 3; MXRA3; NPHS16; PPKWH; SIP; SRC-1-interacting protein; SRC1-interacting protein; SRC-interacting protein
Applications
All western blot analysis is performed using 5% Milk-TBST for blocking and as antibody diluent. Primary antibody is incubated overnight.
Western blots of immunoprecipitates are performed using Goat anti-Rabbit Light Chain HRP Conjugate (Cat. No. A120-113P) with 5% Normal Pig Serum (Cat. No. S100-020) added to the blocking buffer.
