Rabbit anti-LIN28B Antibody Affinity Purified
Product Details
Specifications
The epitope recognized by A303-589A-T maps to a region between residue 200 and 250 of human Lin-28 homolog B using the numbering given in entry NP_001004317.1 (GeneID 389421).
Immunoglobulin concentration was determined using Beer’s Law where 1mg/mL IgG has an A280 of 1.4. Antibody was affinity purified using an epitope specific to LIN28B immobilized on solid support.

Additional Product Information
Lin-28 homolog B (LIN28B) acts as a suppressor of microRNA (miRNA) biogenesis by specifically binding the precursor let-7 (pre-let-7), a miRNA precursor. LIN28B acts by binding pre-let-7 and recruiting ZCCHC11/TUT4 uridylyltransferase, leading to the terminal uridylation of pre-let-7. LIN28B specifically recognizes the 5'-GGAG-3' motif in the terminal loop of pre-let-7. It also recognizes and binds non pre-let-7 pre-miRNAs that contain the 5'-GGAG-3' motif in the terminal loop, leading to their terminal uridylation and subsequent degradation [taken from the Universal Protein Resource (UniProt) www.uniprot.org/uniprot/ Q6ZN17].

Applications
All western blot analysis is performed using 5% Milk-TBST for blocking and as antibody diluent. Primary antibody is incubated overnight.
Western blots of immunoprecipitates are performed using Goat anti-Rabbit Light Chain HRP Conjugate (Cat. No. A120-113P) with 5% Normal Pig Serum (Cat. No. S100-020) added to the blocking buffer.
