Rabbit anti-MAP7 IHC Antibody Affinity Purified
Product Details
Specifications
The epitope recognized by IHC-00533 maps to a region between residue 720 and 749 of human microtubule-associated protein 7 using the numbering given in entry NP_003971.1 (GeneID 9053).
Immunoglobulin concentration was determined using Beer’s Law where 1mg/mL IgG has an A280 of 1.4. Antibody was affinity purified using an epitope specific to MAP7 immobilized on solid support.
The epitope recognized by IHC-00533-T maps to a region between residue 720 and 749 of human microtubule-associated protein 7 using the numbering given in entry NP_003971.1 (GeneID 9053).
Immunoglobulin concentration was determined using Beer’s Law where 1mg/mL IgG has an A280 of 1.4.
Additional Product Information
MAP7 was first identified in HeLa cells as E-MAP-115. It is predominantly expressed in cells of epithelial origin and proposed to function as a stabilizer of microtubules important for regulating cell polarization. Disruption of the MAP7 gene has been associated with cases of sacral dysgenesis; however MAP7 knockout mice do not display the associated phenotype. In mice it has been shown to be important to sperm cell development.
Alternate Names

Applications
Epitope exposure is recommended.
Epitope exposure with citrate buffer will enhance staining.
Likely to work with frozen sections.
In some cases, the antibody may be diluted further than indicated.
