Production Procedures
Antibody was affinity purified using an epitope specific to MCM6 immobilized on solid support.

The epitope recognized by IHC-00047 maps to a region between residue 775 and the C-terminus (residue 821) of human Minichromosome Maintenance 6 using the numbering given in entry NP_005906.2 (GeneID 4175).

Additional Product Information

The MCM (Mini-Chromosome Maintenance) complex is a key component of the pre-replication complex involved in replication licensing which restricts DNA replication to only once per cell cycle. The MCM complex is a heterohexamer of MCM2, MCM3, MCM4, MCM5, MCM6, and MCM7. MCM6 is part of the core MCM complex that includes MCM4, MCM6, and MCM7. The core complex possesses DNA helicase activity.

Alternate Names

DNA replication licensing factor MCM6; MCG40308; MCM6 minichromosome maintenance deficient 6 (MIS5 homolog, S. pombe); minichromosome maintenance deficient (mis5, S. pombe) 6; Mis5; P105MCM

Applications

Epitope exposure is recommended.

Epitope exposure with citrate buffer will enhance staining.

Likely to work with frozen sections.

In some cases, the antibody may be diluted further than indicated.
