Rabbit anti-Met Recombinant Monoclonal Antibody [BLR283L]
Product Details
Specifications
Immunogen was a peptide representing a region between residue 1340 and the C-terminus (residue 1390) of human Hepatocyte growth factor receptor (aka Met) using the numbering given in entry NP_000236.2 (Gene ID 4233).
Additional Product Information
The proto-oncogene MET is a member of the receptor tyrosine kinase family of proteins. The preproprotein is proteolytically processed to generate alpha and beta subunits that are linked via disulfide bonds to form the mature receptor. Further processing of the beta subunit results in the formation of the M10 peptide, which has been shown to reduce lung fibrosis. Binding of its ligand, hepatocyte growth factor, induces dimerization and activation of the receptor, which plays a role in cellular survival, embryogenesis, and cellular migration and invasion. [taken from NCBI Entrez Gene (Gene ID: 4233)].

Applications
All western blot analysis is performed using 5% Milk-TBST for blocking and as antibody diluent. Primary antibody is incubated overnight.
Western blots of cell lysates are performed using Goat anti-Rabbit IgG Heavy and Light Chain Antibody (Cat. No. A120-101P).
Western blots of immunoprecipitates are performed using Goat anti-Rabbit Light Chain HRP Conjugate (Cat. No. A120-113P) with 5% Normal Pig Serum (Cat. No. S100-020) added to the blocking buffer.
